20,000 cc's in Breast Implants Gives $2,000 to Local Charity
San Antonio plastic surgeon Dr. Robert N. Young and his staff created a fun Month of Mothers campaign that included a lively Breast Augmentation Challenge. For the month of May 2017, all breast augmentation surgeries performed by Dr. Young were tallied together to determine the amount which Dr. Young would donate to The Battered Women and Children's Shelter in San Antonio.
As is customary for all breast augmentations, patients select breast implant sizes that will achieve the look they desire. Implant sizes are identified by the number of cc's of saline or silicone that the implant is filled with. Dr. Young donated 10 percent of every implant used during the month of May.
Implants were tallied and it was found that Dr. Young's implants totalled 20,000 cc's!
This meant that the donation to BWCS came to $2,000, an amount which was presented to them today at Dr. Young's Stone Oak offices and Surgery Center.
Dr. Young was pleased to make the donation, stating,"I'm happy we were able to deliver such a sizeable donation to a worthwhile cause. My entire staff came together to manage a campaign that included the Breast Augmentation Challenge, a GoFundMe fundraiser for BWCS as well as a donation box that collected items needed by the charity. It was a complete success and I thank all of our patients, staff members and others who contributed."
