Is there help for tired looking eyes? Tear Trough Treatments that work.
Tear Troughs. That's a term that not many know, and fewer really understand, yet it can be one of the most beneficial areas to rejuevenate and freshen a tired face.
Patients with deep tear troughs usually always complain that they look older than their age. They may complain about dark circles or shadows under their eyes. People may say that they look sad or worn out.
It's something that can bother you every time you look in the mirror because it can drastically alter your appearance...even to yourself!
What Is A Tear Trough?
A tear trough is a fold which extends from the inner corner of your eye downward along the bone under your eye and outwards towards the outer corner of your eye. Deep tear troughs can create shadows below the eye that look like dark circles that creates a division between your lower eyelid and the cheek.
What Can Be Done To Improve Tired Eyes?
The latest in dermal fillers can are an excellent method of treating tear troughs which have become depressed or flattened, or where a division or hollow ridge forms. Dermal fillers can effectively elevate the depression that forms along the fold, gently lifting the delicate area. The result is a smoother, more youthful appearance.
Sometimes there is also bulging in the area beneath the eye. This is caused from fat causing the skin of the lower eyelid to become puffy or bulge. Redraping the fat during a blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) can dramatically improve this, but is not always necessary. A lower"bleph" is a surgical procedure where an incision is made in the inside of the lower lid and the fat is gently pulled out and laid over the orbital rim. This relocates the fat from the "bulge" to where it is needed along the rim.
